•liams alarm didn't go off •again •so here he is rushin like a maniac with his coffee and backpack running like a madman to get to his lecture on time •but then stairs happen and our small clumsy pup just can't handle it •he falls •and that would be totally fine •eXCEPT OH GOD HE FELL AND SPILLED HIS BLISTERING HOT COFFEE ALL OVER A REALLY GORGEOUS GIRL OH NO •so obviously he's apologizing like crazy and asking if she's burned and all this and she's kinda mad because now she has to go and change her shirt before she goes to class •and they play that "no it was my fault" game for a second because she's arguing that she just wasn't paying attention and he's like "no I should've been looking where I was going" •but then liams like "I really have to get to class and I'm sorry can I give you my number and we'll finish this later" •and ruby can't help but laugh at that so she takes his number •she texts him later •eventually they meet up for coffee/study groups •they become really good friends in basically an instant •but it takes liam FOREVER to make a move because he's convinced she doesn't like him •when he does they're hanging out in his dorm and she's trying to explain something to him but he's not listening so he just leans over and kisses her •after about two minutes his roommate Charles walks in •liam was this close to looking into the camera like he was on the office •they're basically inseparable after that and they're RIDICULOUS oh my god he wakes up early to walk her to class and brings her lunch and they study together it's insane •Chubs gets into the habit of knocking oh his own dorm door before entering and he never lets liam forget how annoying that is •at the end of his sophomore year and her freshman year they decide to move in together the next year and liam goes 'you won't have to knock on the dorm door anymore' and chubs lowkey thought he was about to ask him for a threesome before liam tells him •you know ruby wear all of liams sweatshirts and flannels all the time •you also know that he loves it way too much •late night coffee runs where the barista looks at them weird because they're half asleep on top of each other like puppies while they wait for their unhealthy amount of caffeine to be delivered •at the end of the semester when finals are over they take a big, long, well deserved nap and it lasts for like 2 whole days
