WiFi Connected but No Internet? Here’s What Might Be Wrong
Your phone shows full WiFi bars. Your laptop says connected. But when you open YouTube, WhatsApp, Google, or any website… nothing loads.
This is one of the most confusing home internet problems because the WiFi looks fine, but the internet is not actually working. The issue can happen because of a router glitch, modem problem, loose cable, DNS error, ISP outage, or a device setting that needs refreshing.
Before resetting everything, try the simple checks first. Restart your router and modem, test another device, check the internet light on the router, forget and reconnect to the WiFi network, and make sure VPN or private DNS settings are not blocking the connection.
The key thing to remember is this: WiFi and internet are not the same. Your device can connect to the router, but if the router is not receiving internet properly, you will still face the WiFi connected but no internet problem.
Small checks can save a lot of frustration. And if the issue keeps coming back again and again, it may be time to check the router, modem, cables, or full home network setup properly.
