I'd reposted a thing going around fb about DT being a nacissist w/out commentary, and so far I've edited the post with your commentary like this Edited to add: "Attempting to diagnose someone who is not your consenting patient, especially someone you don’t know, especially over the Internet, is invasive, inappropriate, ableist, and gross. You should never, ever do this, ever, to anyone. For any reason. No matter how bad of a politician they are. Like Sam Vimes says, if you’ll do it for a good
(cont) reason, you’ll do it for a bad one." - from a friend who pointed this out. I posted this earlier, thinking that it was ok because it was from a person who says they are a psychologist. However, my friend is correct when they said that this is unacceptable. Donald Trump is not a consenting patient, and this is not an official diagnosis. We cannot continue to blame all bad people and all bad things on mentally ill people.
I figured that if I merely deleted, then other people wouldn't necessarily see that it was wrong (like I didn't until it was pointed out) and I didn't want to just leave it there and forget to change it. If you don't want me to use your words I will delete or change that post.
I don’t mind this at all. Thank you for asserting that it is, in fact, incorrect and uncool to diagnose someone ever unless you’re their doctor.
I need to stop looking up medical issues on the internet...
Me: My leg hurts.
Internet: Cancer.
Me: My head hurts.
Internet: Tumor.
Me: I have a stomach ache.
Internet: Incurable stomach disease.
Me: I need cold and flu remedy ideas.
Internet: Are you sure it's a cold? it might be cancer.
Me: Yes internet, I'm sure it's a cold, can I have some ideas to get rid of it please?
Internet: You can, but I'm pretty sure it's cancer.
