what house combo do you think is more likely to do things outta spite?
I am not sure this is related to SHC houses. I think any combo could do this, depending on their background and temperament, buuut it does look like Internal primaries (Snake and Lion) are a bit more likely to take this route. I also wonder if perphaps a Lion secondary -with its chargey, rule breaking tendency- might contribute to it.

a badger trying to understand an internal primary
Ok but like is sticking with someone to an insane point - like sticking with someone who has disappointed everyone for years because they're blood related, and you feel responsible for helping their family because this person is an ass - is that like an insane snake or a badger?
Asking cause I know someone like this and maybe this could help me understand a bit better. I would have stopped them a lot time ago.
I'm leaning Badger cause Snakes seem to have more self preservation instincts. Also can a Badger primary feel like they're better off alone (like they just don't need people.) Cause this person is like that. Everyone comes to them for help but there's very few people this person actually talks to and is friends with. She feels that other people don't need to know her business and so being alone is better and I just don't think anyone could be healthy and unBurned and feel like that, especially someone who puts so much emphasis on family.
This is an interesting little riddle of an ask. We’ve got three characters - I’ll call them Original Poster (OP), Mystery Woman (MW), and Ass.
My instinct is that OP is a Badger primary - and an extroverted one - since the idea that MW prefers a very small social circle is just kind of.... baffling. Also I can see just a hint of Badger primary dehumanization, dismissing the problem person in their circle as “disappointing” + “an ass” (instead of focusing more on their crimes) and MW as “insane.”
It’s not clear from this post why MW sticks by Ass. The reasons OP gives are “blood related” and “feels responsible” which are very Badger reasons... but since I suspect OP is a Badger, it’s extremely possibly that they’re substituting in the motivations that make the most sense to them.
MW sticks by a disappointing person. That could be Snake Loyalty, or she could be a Badger who defines her groups differently than OP. Heck, she might be an Idealist who thinks/feels that supporting this person is the right thing to do. The one clue I’m given is MW’s intense autonomy, which makes me learn internal primary - either Snake or Lion. As far as her secondary is concerned “everyone comes to them for help” - that’s Badger secondary, all the way.
I’m thinking that MW is either a Snake or Lion primary with a small social circle, and a community-helping Badger secondary. If she’s Snake, sounds like she probably models something else to compliment her secondary. And OP, thanks for the ask. It’s really, really good that you’re trying to understand this person better. Hopefully I offered a new perspective.
Do you think it'd be odd for a snake pr to search for a so called calling, something to put themselves in? I was always searching for something, music, art, literature, and when it wouldn't seem like it, it hurt. It's not about being bigger than me or right things, it's about finding something so you, something to live by as you find so much of yourself there. A place for all that you are. A fantasy, that doesn't exist, but you hold the idea of it. That's lion, or at least lion model, right?
That’s very, very human. But the specific way you write about it makes me think Snake primary, Lion model. There’s a lot of very Internal primary language happening here.
How do you spot an Internal Primary versus an External Primary ?
Look at when they change their mind.
What arguments persuaded them? What made them dig in their heels? What made them look at you like you're an alien?
External Primaries (Bird & Badger), will turn to the world around them for answers. To see what they can verify outside of themselves and use that to guide their answers.
Internal Primaries (Lion & Snake), will stand by what they know to be true. They will stand by what they believe regardless of what pretty words or clever demonstrations are put in their way.
