HOT DAMN.
Just finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and that was way more of a tear jerker than i thought it would be, props to poppi’s voice actor because her pain made me really feel the ending.
I’m also really happy to say that even though there are a lot of generic anime moments they don’t necessarily detract from the overall experience, they feel like the tropes are just being played straight and don’t really brake the immersion of the incredibly interesting themes of the main story.
Yeah character designs can be hit or miss but Morag, Nia, Fan La Norne, Patroka Lora and Poppi Alpha all have great designs and the male designs are good too, with a special shout out to Jin, Vandham, Akhos, Mikhal, Zeke and Emporer Niall.
I’d go into blades as well but i haven’t got them all and frankly they are such a mixed bag so i like the ones i liked and Dahlia got relegated to merc missions while i tried to forget her existence.
Going back to the main story but without going into spoilers, it definitely delivered on the quality i had heard of from XBC1, going above and beyond what could have just been a pretty bog standard JRPG/Shounen-anime plot and keeping me engaged in all it’s threads.
And while i don’t agree with this quote all the time, a wise man once said, “A great villain is one who arguably has better goals than the protagonist.” and in this case i think it fits really well, the villains had a compelling cause with a surprising amount of depth, so much so that i found myself rooting for the main bad guys once their motivations were properly revealed.
Overall i enjoyed the game, i still think i liked X better but that’s probably me just being more into sci-fy than just fantasy. I don’t like giving numerical ratings so i’m just gonna endorse it wholeheartedly as long as you can get past some “fanservice.” Plus a long RPG like this works really well with the switch’s mobile functions, since you can explore and grind when you got a little free time.
*BZZZRT*
HEY EVERYONE COCA-COLA SUCKS AND EVERY OTHER TYPE OF SODA IS BETTER ESPECIALLY PEPSI.
THAT IS ALL.
I-I forgot your wonderful smile
I’m quite confused by this message, (no offense) to my knowledge I’ve only posted a picture of my face once before and while this message could be in reference to that i am still bemused by why this could have been sent to me
This is the best bot I've ever gotten holy crap
