INTERACTION ENGINEERING.
THE RESULT! Feedback Tivon on Slack:
“Nice! And you jumped into Unity as well! There are some tricks in the "Lighting" window that will make your model look less lumpy, and more like the original. “

INTERACTION ENGINEERING.
First test!
Inspired by a photo series that I made in 2014, supporting an article I wrote about planned absolesence in Electronics, I want to create a “digital” skyline. It will be a scale model of which I want to create a 3D-render, and then import into Unity to walk “through it”. Inspiration is 20s Metropolis vibe
INTERACTION ENGINEERING.
After the guest lecture and workshop of Tivon Rice, I made this list of how to create the best 3D render in PhotoScanPro

PROJECT TABLE MANNERS.
A way to let a tangible table top recognize PHYSICAL OBJECTS!
Mobile phones on table tops? Idea: “something” happens when phone will be places on the table.
When placing fiducial markers (see below) on the object, the software can recognize it!

Without buttons, just hands!!!
Sony’s SmartSkin (2002) An Infrastructure for Freehand Manipulations on Interactive Surfaces
“(...) sensitive to human hand and finger gestures. This sensor recognizes multiple hand positions and their shapes as well as calculates the distances between the hands and the surface by using capacitive sensing and a mesh-shaped antenna. In contrast to camera-based gesture recognition systems, all sensing elements can be integrated within the surface, and this method does not suffer from lighting and occlusion problems.”

INTERACTION ENGINEERING / TABLE MANNERS.
Inspiration! Transparant controllers made of silicon material that influence the tangible interface (for example, for a table top).
Buttons that influence table top!
How doe it work? On the bottom side of the controllers, there is a visual marker that is recognized by a technique called
Diffuse Illumination.

Personal note: for my “table manners”-project, be critical about the involvement of buttons, controllers, etc. Focus needs to be on the offline, social interaction at the dinner table!
