"Oh wow? How'd ya manage to do that?" Athenas asked as she looked at the other's injury.
>> The quiet of the library seemed to echo in his ears, the brunet sighed as he rubbed his sleepy eyes sore from keeping his vision on the pages. He lifted his goggles up and to his head blinking a few times in order to adjust to the dim lighting, finding that the hour had passed he collected most of his things leaving behind some of the more useless papers he had no business for.
With the warmer weather pooling in the building, he tried to ignore it as he went about his business and headed in to the corridors half tempted to head on out to the near by town for leisure but, there was still too much to do. The mere tapping sounds of his boots echoed as he took the turns in to the open air of the hallways that showed the court yards full of the fresh bloom of the summer flowers, a tiniest of smiles started to grace his lips as he thought maybe later on tomorrow he could sneak off to find time in the gardens.
"It's tiring being a leader..." he muttered underneath his breath missing the days where all he had to do was boring chores or running simple errands even making tea, now he was always busy with research or being prodded for further knowledge of titan research. There where people he had to attend to and younger soldiers he watched over making sure they did things correctly, the nostalgia of the past seemed to crawl up in his memory as he chuckled at the mere thought, maybe he shouldn't of taken such a thing for granted.
The afternoon's sun seemed to be setting giving a darker glow across the land and the light to flow through the open windows now was tinged with oranges from the scorching sun. Though, as he walked he could hear chatter and something familiar that made him perk. Instantly, his foot steps quickened in pace as he heard the low laughs and soft scoffing to the point his heart sank to his stomach.
Brushing by all those that hurried to either go home or to their rooms he soon found himself turning the corner in the hall teal eyes laying upon a familiar figure as he blended in to the background not wanting to invade personal space as the superiors seemed to be chattering. It was when the conversation died down did he find his voice to finally chirp, "Corporal!" the grip on the stack of papers and books tightened as the faintest of smiles crossed his features and the shifter made his way on over.
"How are you,sir?" careful with titles and what not while still in the public eye the excitement laced in his words was obvious as Eren tossed away formality for a moment to flash a little smile, "Um, the summer is really coming in isn't it?" what a stupid thing to say but he was trying to contain himself with the most awkward of wording.
