     brows lift slightly as he looks over at the other. the glass is cool in his hand, condensation running around the tips of his fingers, the alcohol inside the bottle useless but the taste it leaves in the back of his throat helps the long nights. he won’t deny that sitting at the bar opens him up to being approached by both women AND men and this one in particular is at least attractive enough to be moderately distracting. ❛ is that supposed to mean something? ❜

    ❛ well, my friend... that is a DANGEROUSLY open ended question. ❜ he’s doing his best not to smirk because, really, he could ask for anything and if Theo wants this bad enough, he’d give it. which is a strange and powerful feeling. ❛ which, unfortunately, just leads to ANOTHER one.... what are you willing to give for it? ❜

     ❛ I... wait... I thought we WERE taking a break... ❜ it certainly feels like they’re taking a break. he hasn’t really looked at his books in the past... five minutes? ten? honestly, he can’t be sure at this point. rubbing a hand over his face, Stiles looks at the page his book was still open to and frowns. ❛ but, I mean... yeah? ❜

     brows lifting in question to the statement, Derek turns to the man beside him. it doesn’t take much to smell the alcohol on him, to the point that he’s fairly convinced that even a HUMAN would be able to pick up on it. ❛ congratulations? ❜

     when TJ steps forward, his instinct is to push him away, but the whole reason they’re arguing is because the idiot he’s supposed to be protecting had snuck out and gotten himself HURT. so he lets him come in close and when TJ kisses him as an attempt to distract, he can’t help but kiss him back. then he pulls back and sighs quietly, one hand coming up to stroke TJ’s cheek, forcing himself to ignore the dark bloom of a bruise on his cheek. ❛ you are NOT getting off that easily, little one. we are discussing this, ❜ he murmurs quietly, tone firm despite the softer look in his eyes. ❛ you know you need to stay here when I tell you to. you KNOW you’re supposed to do as you’re told. why? you’ve been doing so well? so why did you go out there and get yourself into this mess? baby boy... I’m just trying to PROTECT you... ❜

     this goes so far BEYOND cheating, Steve can’t even believe it. but, he has to admit that the tactic is incredibly effective. because as soon as Bucky’s mouth is on his, he completely forgets what he’d been about to say and just sinks into the kiss, DEFEATED. ❛ you... are such an asshole, did you know that? ❜ he grumbles, feigning annoyance with the other man as he crowds in against Bucky, one hand curling around the back of his neck to draw him in for a second kiss, any lingering frustration over the argument fizzling out.. ❛ this conversation is NOT over, you realise... ❜

     at first the only response Stiles gets is a quiet growl because of COURSE he’s getting all bitchy at a time like this. then Derek looks up as he uses his arms to drag himself into the open Jeep.  ❛ want you to? no, not particularly, I’ve seen the way you drive. but given the circumstances of my not being able to use my LEGS, there isn’t really much choice, is there? ❜
