“You’re my best friend, Webby.” It will never stop being strange, how soft one little duck can make her, but it’s something Lena likes. Not that she’ll admit it to anyone except Webby herself. “I can’t just let you be a mess and not do anything.”

“which is why we’re definitely not sending you in, blue raspberry.” she smirked, walking past him. they already had one loud, blue kid around, and that was dewey. not some hedgehog they’d just met. “we’ll send in dewey, he’s gonna be way better at this than you. kid’s a natural.”

“so, what’s your whole schtick, then? adorable menace that causes problems and vanishes into the night? because i got news for you, that spot is definitely already taken.” she’s only half joking. she wasn’t exactly good at the whole ‘new person’ thing, compared to other times this was actually a good start.
