I guess I've never really been satisfied with canon endings, to be honest. Reading things I used to find things I wanted to change or fix or things that I would do differently. It seemed like a natural conclusion from always wanting more from the media I consume. But I definitely read fic before I started writing.

Hmm. It depends on the fic, but overall I'd say Ice. Especially with WKS It's a game of trying to understand where he's at in his journey compared to when we see him in TG and how his story ends in TG:M. Because I'm trying to piece together his life it's a lot of writing and rewriting and trying to keep as close to canon as I can with the wiggle room I've created for my version of him to exist.

A fic I recently read that I'm in love with is En Passant by DarkestElemental616 which is an AU for The Grisha Trilogy where Nikolai Lantsov is a Sun Summoner. It's very good and I can't wait for an update.
