I plan to photograph and collect sheets that were important to me through my adolescence, young adulthood, and now adulthood. In doing so, I plan to cohesively connect fabric and photo print in a collage of sorts that emphasizes the place of rest. This will symbolize not only the importance of home, but also the progression of time and growth. I additionally will be using current photos as well as photos from my childhood of sheets. Lastly, in my current photos there will be an emotional quality displayed through the photographs to further symbolize the heart of a home, beginning in the bedroom. The room with a bed. 

Content: The content of this project will be highlighting how coincidentally, a symbol that is important to me as my favorite flower, was also my mother’s favorite flower. Through collage of my childhood, a presence of my mother is also apparent in how I am presented in how she chose to up-bring me given the documentation of memorable events that she enabled for me. This piece will explore the nature of identity relating to one’s upbringing.

CONTENT: How this process is vital in my life if I want to keep my cats alive. This is a life sustaining ritual. To have authority of two other beings comes to light through this documentation. Over time the charcoal and pastel transfer will relay and reflect the behavior prior to feeding and directly after.  To raise the idea of sustainability in caring for another sentient being, responsibility and reliability is essential.
