HE HOLDS BACK A GRIN, because he knows the second he lets it escape, Wendy will know, even if she's not looking at him. She's always had that sort of sixth sense when it came to him. Wrapping his arm around her shoulder, he tucks her in closer, letting his head fall to the side to rest against the top of her own. This is exactly why Stan had picked out this movie - an excuse to have her pressed up against him like this.

HIS CHEST CLENCHES at her request. Things had always been so touch and go between them - and Stan knew it was as much his fault as it was Wendy's. But when she asked him things like that - well, he'd never been able to say no to her. Even when they were kids, he' cave almost instantly. Not that this would ever be something he'd say no to. "C'mon, Dee," he chuckles softly, the sound coming out just a little bit hoarse. "I'll keep you safe from the monsters." His smile quirks farther up in one corner, sliding his hand into hers and tugging her body closer to his own. He's teasing her, as he always does best. "Did you think I'd ever say no?"

The first person to ever recognise that she was a girl in this small mountain town and so the request comes tumbling out. ❛ Can you maybe help me? The guys have finally realised that I'm a girl and well... everything is really different and ... You're like... my only girl who's a friend. I mean there is also Kenny but -- his not really in girl mode right now. ❜

❛ That would look cute on you. ❜ she placed the top on Wendy's bed with a big smile. Makeovers were just fun. Being the one in the chair or being the one doing the makeover. It was just -- fun and a big distraction from the fact that Wendy's parents were doing as well as hers. The ones in rehab. Her cousin might be delusional to dsyfunction but --- she was keeping quiet. HE LIKES THE THOUGHT OF THAT. That he could be heroic. Stan's never really considered himself as someone capable of heroism. Not with where he'd come from, because at the end of the day he'd always be afraid of becoming his father. "You really think so?" he mutters, a grin slowly creeping across his face.

"Do you ever just wanna light someone's car on fire?" Steve asks, suddenly and seemingly out of nowhere - lifting his head from where it'd been resting on the counter of Sarah's Spot - to look at Wendy. "Because that totally seems to be the mood right now." He doesn't give much context other than that, glancing out the window for a brief moment before back to the other. "I'm not gonna do it 'cause my mom probably wouldn't be too pleased, but it's the mood."

Mercedes was cleaning up the bar after the rush when she saw Wendy walk in. It wasnt often that the girls came to Raisins but she was always happy when they did. "Hey Wendy. Can i get you anything?" She asked, seeming more relaxed since she didnt have to put on an act for tips around her. Michael was at the end of the bar smoking and he nodded at Wendy to acknowledge her. He and Mercedes had been spending alot of time together so it wasnt a surprise he was up there hanging out. "You just missed the guys. Well Stan and Kyle werent here but the rest were."

"Hey Wendy, Wait up." Pete flipped his fringe out of his eyes and took a drag of the cigarette that seemed to permanently be in his hand. "I uh." He frowned at himself a bit. " Do you think you could give me a hand with the homework? I really dont get this shit and my grades are bad enough. Lets just keep it between us though?"
