intangibleinsanity -- introduction
he's big and not anyone she recognizes from the camp. she thinks about coming down from her perch in the trees, of siding down behind him and holding him at knife point until he explains what he's doing out of the city, but she'd rather watch. it's the way he carries himself that terrifies her, that maybe if he moves too slow time will stop, and maybe if he goes to fast his huge feet will knock him off balance. either way, he could probably take her down without even using his second hand. it's only customary that she checks, but she glances down at her left wrist. relief sweeps over her features. her time isn't even close to hitting 00:00:00. katniss slowly reaches her hand down into her pocket, feeling around for one of the smooth pebbles she had collected back near the river. she carefully sits up on the tree branch she's balanced her weight on and tosses the pebble his direction. it clatters against the leaves loud enough to draw his attention upwards, hopefully.
