Likely running into Blake wasn’t the reason Daphne was going down to the legal archives, but it also wasn’t a hinderance or anything, either. They were usually unbearably irritating when Daphne interacted with them, yet she did still like looking. Blake was nice to look at, not least because of their oddly chaotic energy. Like pinning them down wouldn’t be easy.
“Hello, Blake,” she said with relative formality. “I hope you’re doing well? I’m looking for records from an old case where a former employee tried to sue after quitting.” She chose not to say why she was looking for it, since there was really no reason to let them know she was preparing to be sued by a former disgruntled employee.
