"Beautiful! Powerful! Dangerous! Cold!" #Frozen (Warning: pictures 3&4 are a bit🤮) It's been a COLD last few days, which has made for some really incredible hoarfrost. It's also been a bit lethal. After the earthquake, our garage door broke loose and before we could get it fixed a group of mice set-up shop. They gorged on all my Clif bars, GU gels, and other trail snacks before making a mess of things 😢🤢 I finally got things properly cleaned out and blocked the last small gap with tinfoil, but they wouldn't stop their attempts. I set out a glue trap last night and caught one, frozen before I found it. I left the trap over night but when I went to dispose of it this morning it was gone 😳 I set a new trap and when I checked it tonight...I discovered the first trap off to the side, with more victims and the cannibalized remains of the first🤮 The cold night air did the dirty work for me and reminded me how it can be both beautiful and deadly 😵 #alaska #mousetrap #instamorbid (at Alaska) https://www.instagram.com/p/BsVSY97h-GG/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=j6f4hsn7t2q1
