easily side-tracked while shopping for winter wardrobe • • • • • a rare #longread 👏 my new year's resolution (ok, birthday-in-april resolution) was to stop being mean to myself. i could be mega-positive towards others but only negative in thoughts towards myself and my appearance. i realised this needed to change as it was spiralling out of control. i started going to the gym to focus my mind on healthy goals, and to physically exhaust myself before my mind could start attacking itself. i started following up intrusive thoughts with positive compliments to myself. and i started looking more at my happy photos with friends and family, remembering the feeling of that moment to hurry off the grey clouds. today i went clothes shopping on my own and it's the first time in almost a year that i didn't have a panic attack in the middle of westfield stratford. most days, the negative voice moves out of the driver's seat of my mind, sometimes it's in the back seat, and occasionally, it's out of the car altogether #babysteps #bodyposi #instaafterdark
