IIT filmmaker and theatre artist pair in tranSCRIPT’s “Taya” #taya #stayingalive #transcriptrecital Kenn Velasquez, IPAG’s dance master and artist development cluster head pairs with Joy Dalman, a filmmaker and member of KALILAS MSU-IIT Film Guild in Dalman’s one act play “Taya”. The play is about Mayan, a television salesperson who faces unemployment when the shop owner declared bankruptcy. She then wrestles over nostalgia as Ysa, an old friend, decides to purchase the shop. “Taya” and seven other plays as collaborative outputs of the fellows will cap the 2nd phase of IPAG's tranSCRIPT Playwriting and Dramaturgy Workshops on Wednesday and Thursday, 16 and 17 December and will be live streamed in Facebook at 6 pm., Phil. Time. Dubbed “#stayingalive,” the program was supported by grants from the CCP Kalinga sa Sining, Japan Foundation Manila, Inc., the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and the host MSU-IIT through its Center for Culture and the Arts Studies.
