I went and helped with an awards ceremony for the EAFK, we worked with the 6 7 and 8 graders, and johnny and I where asked if we could stay and help with the 3,4,and 5. I was very proud and impressed with each student, but there was one story that stuck out to me. A fourth grader who earned an award for the virtue of respect. This 9 year old boy  went on his own accord to the schools special needs class room and befriended a young boy named Cody, who has sever down syndrome. This young man spends his recess and any free time he has with Cody. Cody will come up to him and give him hugs in the hallway and he never acts embarrassed or treats him badly. He has also moved his classmates so much that they all visit the special ed class and befriend those students.

Now, if that wasn't a beautiful story in itself, the special ed class let Cody come watch the awards ceremony. After trying to find the young man in the rows of students, the class mates encouraged cody to turn around and head up towards the stage where the young man was.  Codys teach helped him on the stage where he and the young man hugged and sat down together, the young man with his arm around Cody for the rest of the ceremony.
