Mental illness has been a huge part of my life, and always will be. I was recently (finally) diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, and also have severe depression and anxiety on top of it. I go through major mood swings, deal with extreme black and white thinking patterns, have dissociation episodes, and struggle with self harm and disordered eating as well. It's a battle I have to fight every single god damn day, but I don't think I'd be quite the same compassionate and empathetic person I am without it all. Left side photo represents what I tend to look like on the outside most days, while the right side photo represents what I tend to feel like inside on most days. Completely inspired by @lilmoonchildd and the #insideoutchallenge 💜💗🖤 #motd #makeupoftheday #mentalhealth @theinsideoutchallenge
Going around Facebook was this challenge called the #insideoutchallenge where you do half your face in what you visualize your mental illness. Here's how I view my anxiety and depression. And here's my brace face I put in every single day. Life is hard but I keep pushing forward. In this past year alone, Ive made so much positive progress and I'm in the best mental state that I have ever been. My lifelong struggle isn't over but it's progressing in such a positive manner.
It has been a year since I started bleaching my hair and yes, hindi pa po ako nababaliw o nakakalbo 😂😂😂 It's so much fun experimenting with different hair color and I am looking forward to more hair colors in the coming days, months or years 😍 Here's my entry to INSIDE OUT trend. Not exactly the same shade but I am posting it anyway. "It’s hair – it grows, it fades, it falls. Mental Health Awareness Month Collab 💚 "You are not a victim. Just a fighter with scars that few can understand." We teamed up to bring awareness to something so many of us are facing. If we can increase the "few" that understand, we have won half the battle against mental illness. Don't ever underestimate the power of your story, your presence or support - it really can save a life. We have tried to use makeup in an attempt to portray what depression and anxiety would look like if it weren't invisible illnesses. (Though it's impossible to truly capture the crippling effect of mental issues). It's time we stopped this victimization and stigmatising and instead join the fight against mental illness. . . @sheer.empowderment thank you for allowing me to do this collab with you! This is so important! #mentalhealthawareness #insideoutchallenge (at Johannesburg, Gauteng)

"Social anxiety is the least understood of all chronic mental disorders. It is NOT an excuse to skip that party or not take responsibility for things that should have been put across. It is also NOT another word for being shy. People with social anxiety disorder (SAD) find it very difficult to interact with new people and sometimes even people they know, due the fear of the judgement, rejection and negative evaluation. It can cause severe chronic anxiety, failure at work, in relationships and also lead to depression. In many cases, SAD makes it difficult for people to work around or eat in front of other people because the constant fear of judgement. It is also difficult for people with SAD to make eye contact with other people. May is mental health awareness month. This month I want to try my best to bring across awareness about very common mental health disorders amongst the youth in today's generation. This is also highly inspired by @lilmoonchildd's #insideoutchallenge Do you know anyone who was very negatively affected by their social anxiety?" - @vilinahujart (at Dubai, United Arab Emirates)

Hello and I’m back with another video concept. It’s not a spoken word but it’s something I wanted to do ever since I saw the video in the The Mighty page. The video is about wearing your mental illness on your face and it was called The Inside Out Challenge. It really caught my attention and I told myself, I HAVE TO DO THIS. I NEED TO DO THIS. For those curious of what is this challenge all…
