Inside Ending Theory
After watching jack play Inside, I immediately had my mind set on what was going on. Now keep in mind that I have not seen a single theory about this besides jack's. So if I copy another theory, it was a complete accident. So I totally agree with one thing that jack said. You are the bug in a system where everything is perfect. While I was watching, I was really getting a "chosen one" feeling. But without knowing the boy's backstory, I could not say so for sure. But I do believe that the boy understood what was happening and understood that it didn't have to be like this. But it was too late to change it for everyone. He was the only seen "free" human in the game. Other than the leaders of course. Now I do use the term free very loosely. At the beginning of the game he was already in the "bad guys" territory. So I think that instead of freeing everybody, he found it easier, safer, and more reasonable to just free himself. But things didn't go as planned. He saw the giant amalgam of humans and knew he had to save it. Nobody else thought of the amalgam as a living, sentient being. He freed it of the wires and somehow got into it and controlled it. What I think this is symbolizing is that you freed some people so they are now on your side and you are now stronger, more powerful. Now the leaders are scared, as they have not had any experience with a resistance. You as the boy now find that you have the power to free this amalgam eternally. You can crash through walls, scare the previously powerful leaders, and get out into the open world. Then you roll down the hill and the perfect, peaceful spot of natural sunlight by the water is you and the amalgam being freed. You have finally found your happy place and brought others along. END OF GAME.
