Hi
I don't know if the people following me are still active, or if they still know/remember me. Apparently my last active post was back in 2013, and then I logged in again last 2017 for Johnghyun (RIP). But anyway, hi, hello, tadaima, hajimemashite. :)
---
A bit of an update.
Well, well, well. I can't believe I'm back in this Johnny's rabbit hole. Even though the memories I had while being a fangirl will always have a special place in my heart, I really thought I'd never go back since I changed so much. Honestly, I got bored of JUMP and JE because I realized it was so hard to chase them if they're my dream. I know how restricted/small their world is that it's impossible for me to go there. Learning Japanese just so I can understand their shows and songs seems too much work. I'm not gonna live there anyway, their office culture is shit. I understood that the Japanese World that I built while being a fangirl will not be the same when I get to Japan (when I do get to go there). Besides, why focus on them when I should actually be chasing reachable dreams, communicating in languages that I know and understand, and start focusing on my own growth. They won't go anywhere, or if they will, it was a sweet 5-6 years of being their fan and I had no regrets.
Oh, and Ryutaro's departure really tore me lol. I loved Hey! Say! JUMP as a 10-person group, and I was really sad to see them in Magic Power as 9 people. I honestly lost interest after that. I still tried to follow Chinen, especially with his first solo drama, Sprout. He was so adorable but the show is a bad high school romance story. Bad either because the emotions that it elicited was too much that it felt like continuity or logic was thrown out the window, or the writing is that bad lol. I also got updates with Come On A My House, AinoArika and Ride With Me, but when I saw the PV for the third one, that was when I said fuck it, they're not the JUMP that I know anymore, I'm out. LOL.
After that I got into Broadway and musicals. I poured the same energy into this the same way that I did with JE and JUMP, and it was even better because it's so much easier to connect with the fans and everyone in that circle. I get to go to New York, and watched all of my favorite musicals, with the bonus of meeting some of the actors and taking their autograph and pictures. It was literally a dream come true, something that I'd never achieve with my JE Fangirl World. After that, life in general happened. I kept all of my merch though, and we got GEM TV in our cable, but I never tried to watch it. OH! I followed Arashi's YouTube and FB account, but I didn't really "followed" them. I'm just in it for the count and would like to let them know that a fan like me exist lol.
Then the funniest and most interesting thing happened. So yeah, for almost 10 years JE was just a childhood memory for me, but every year I always sneak a peek at the Countdown concert because my FB friends post it on their wall lol. I always just skim the concert, check out JUMP and Arashi and then be on my merry way. Then this year happened. As usual, I watched the countdown, and for the first time in forever I enjoyed JUMP's performance (they did Fanfare!), and it was a joy to see Arashi running to Tokyo Dome to perform. I got an Instagram account, by the insistence of my friends and personal reasons, but instead of creating the same social media circle as my FB, I found JE content, lots of it. Hey! Say! JUMP, Arashi, NEWS, Kanjani8, YamaPi, there are even new bands which I never heard of. Before I know it my IG became a fan account, I downloaded all of JUMP's concerts (IO is my favorite), I binge watched all of Chinen's dramas and planning on watching other member's dramas (currently watching Kindaichi), and I'm back in this rabbit hole lols. I also revived my LJ just to download stuff LMAO.
I actually thought that it's meant to be for me to get back in my Fangirl World because I was supposed to go to Japan for the first time last March. It feels like going full circle if I get to go there while being a fan. I'd enjoy looking at their billboards and seeing them in television lol. But then COVID happened and we were in quarantine for almost 2 months now. Instead, I utilized this time to binge watch all the years that I missed, and I fell in love with Hey! Say! JUMP again. <3 I don't know if this will be for a short while, during this quarantine period, or if this will now be a part of my life again. But whatever it is, it feels good to be back and to see my boys all grown up <3
If you've read this far, thanks! And hello again! Hope you'll enjoy browsing my HSJ Tumblr. :)

“Suddenly”
I know if you leave, it’s no different. It’s not like you ever were here. It’s strange to be suddenly missing, something that never appeared.
