#inline speed skating

coach said my control and crossovers are really good, and that ive been improving alot

i need to work on my starts, keeping my feet tight/under me during the sprint, really bending my knees, keeping my chest low, and actually using my arms

i won all the trials we did today (granted, i was going against like, a 9 and 11 year old) (but theyve been doing it for longer, and im like, atleast two times heavier than them) (idek)

Im not really sure how much im actually improving, because ive only timed one of my trials (15 seconds for a lap, which isnt great, but i feel like ive gotten a little better since then)

but coach is gonna bring in a pair of his daughters old speed skates for me to try next time (i wonder how much those will help, because my skates lowkey suck. theyre just regular rec skates, and theyre so old and beat up. I dont think ive ever changed the wheels on them.) He said that if i keep coming to practices over the summer, ill probably be ready for the tean by the time the new competition season starts in september, so thats exciting!

progress is looking good. i have to keep working at it, but i think ive improved alot in 4 weeks!
