Hello!

Our trip started off with the most uncomfortable 8hour, delayed flight to KL where we had a small 3 hour window to check out the city.  We made our way through central station, onto the monorail and to the pavilion shopping mall.  On the way we were debating whether to eat at din tai fung or TGIFs only to find that they were both closed :(  In the end we left the city with only 3 pearl milk teas from chatime…worth it!

Then began our long 8hr layover between KL and Osaka.  After scouring the terminal for the best sleeping spot we found a carpeted area outside a lego shop where we set up camp and surrounded ourselves with a poster, concrete column and our bags.

Since then we spent 12 hours at Universal studios, most of it spent reminiscing at the three broomsticks over a couple butterbeers and being told which song to play on the hollywood dream rollercoaster by 11yr old japanese girls.  We are now in Kyoto, we checked out Fushima-Inari yesterday and after seeing enough orange gates in the first 30mins, Chung insisted we make the trek up the 5km track to the top of the mountain while being eaten by mosquitos.  Quote of the day….Chung: `hey what do you guys think we will see if we walk down this random path?`   Reueben:`more orange gates and trees`

The last 2 nights we have been staying at a hippy hostel, our room was decorated by a disco ball, or pillows were pretty much rice bags and the hand basin was at knee level…comfortable!
