29 patch.
This was done in haste, I'll be honest. And I couldn't think much of what to say. When I saw patch I thought about when Jesus said in Matthew 9:16
" No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse."
But I shared this with a good friend of mine and he share his thoughts and I think it sums up the idea perfectly:
"While in a sense one could call this "bandaid solutions", it could also be a form of beating around the bush as well, knowing what needs to change, yet trying to find other ways around it, excuses, possibilities, or even just fear, doubt or attachment to things that one fears of fully letting go of.
Letting go of what was once known for so long can be scary, but as believers, it is necessary for our growth to be willing to cast off our old selves and desires to take up the new, or rather "True" identity we have in Christ our Lord when we get saved, why we must crucify the flesh and its desires so that we can fully be alive in the spirit"
