@ink0ming ( midori )
friday nights were nothing too special -- kuro wasnât the type that cared to go out, since he really hated being surrounded by a bunch of people that he didnât necessarily care for. instead, he would much rather just sit in his apartment & drink by himself. he had a horror flick playing on the t.v., which he was hardly paying attention to at the moment. on his coffee table was a decent amount of empty beer cans & a couple of cigarettes that were already snuffed out. he wasnât expecting anyone to come over, since akai was busy, and enyou was likely passed out for the night already -- so, hearing someone knock on the door was quite the surprise. cursing to himself as he got up, he could only hope that the visitor wasnât his brother; he wasnât in the mood for a long speech about his bad habits. opening the door slowly, it was strange to see the small green inkling standing there. âoh, dori? âsup?â he slurred, leaning against the door frame for support. it wasnât unusual for them to hang out, but she usually at least gave him some kind of warning before just showing up.Â
staring at her, he tried to read her expression through his blurred vision. if something was wrong, he was sure that he would be able to tell right away, but he felt so slow at the moment that he couldnât be confidant in his own intuition. âitâs a little late, isnât it?â truthfully, he wasnât sure just what time it was -- but it couldnât have been that early. midori and him often hung out, but not so much on a personal level like this; rather than being alone at the otherâs apartment, they met out in public . . . in cafĂ©s, or the mall. things that were far less awkward than being completely alone together.Â
