Hi, yes, in response to your HS post, I too have this condition. Sorry I wasn’t sure how to respond, I’m rather new to these ask boxes. Only tips I can really offer are pretty basic, but I hope that they can do you some good. Heat definitely helps, you can use either a heating pad or a warm compress on the area a few times a day to help ease some of the inflammation. Ibuprofen is always my go to. And Vicks Vapor Rub has been a godsend, just make sure you read the label and stuff before using. It sort of numbs the area a bit and can help relieve some of the ache, though definitely do NOT use it on an open/draining one. And make sure to stay hydrated. Hope this was what you were looking for in terms of tips. If not sorry to waste your time lol.
I know how you feel. HS sucks major fucking shit and I’m so sorry you’re going through this, but you’re not alone. I know that means fuck all right now but I mean it. It’s not stupid at all to cry over this, trust me, this condition can be extremely harrowing and so mentally and physically draining. I’ve bawled my fucking eyes out before too from the pain and stress of it all. But you can make it through this I promise. I wish there was something more I could offer but I’m sending you all the love and support. Again, hope at least some of this helps ^_^
thank you so much you don't know how much this means to me
my mom originally said the first time was just an ingrown even when it leaked puss and blood and i thought it was a boil
then i had another flare up a little over a week after and right now im really feeling the pain from the huge boil now. i really needed this.
i have a few questions though, does hibiclens really work? if so how often should i use it? same with panoxyl. and also is there any tips to make the hurt or puffy go down other than heat because even the smallest touch to them hurt? should i stop shaving all together and try something else? last question, does the pain get better over time?
