Veteran singer and part of the host cast of Immortal Song, Hwang Chiyeul, shares his account of meeting Wanna One at the recording of the program on the 14th, at the mini fan-greeting.

Starting off, the singer marveled at Wanna One's power, stating that the cheers and atmosphere on site when the boys came out were alike that of a music show. As it is his first time meeting the group, he commented that the group was very well-mannered and hard working, and had a good impression.

Moving on, he went on to mention his meeting with Hwang Minhyun, whom he had met at an earlier time back in the member’s debut days with NU’EST, as a pleasant surprise. 

“I talked/joked a lot with him and took photos too,” he stated with a joyous tone.  Hwang Chiyeul was actually their vocal trainer who helped them out with recordings on-site for Face and Hello.

Looking back at the various juniors that he mentored, the star expressed his pride at seeing how well the boys are doing right now. "There's our Minhyunnie in Wanna One, I'm really happy," he said, "NU'EST is also doing even better now right? They're having a reversal. I'm really happy."

With as much pride, fans are thankful for the positive comments from the said senior.

L.O.V.Es rejoice as NU’EST has announced their plans to release a photobook titled ‘Waiting Q’ to commemorate the group’s 2000-day anniversary since debut! That marks NU’EST’s second special edition photobook of sorts, with their last one 'The Moments' that came with the collector's version of Hello.

More details are expected to come in due time, including details like the photobook’s pages, availability and price, and fans can check the Fancafe when the update comes. The book is expected to drop on 4th September, right on the 2000th day since debut. A small photo of what seemed like a teaser was released along with announcement on their Twitter, showing the 4 boys in a sepia-tone backdrop.

Along with this exciting news, comes the update of their upcoming comeback! After much anticipation and rumors of a September comeback, NU’EST W is officially slated to return to the musical scene with full promotions in October later this year. Time to save up for the album when it drops!

In related news, NU’EST W will have their ‘L.O.Λ.E & DREAM’ fanmeet later today and tomorrow.

How excited are you for upcoming releases?

Fans following the fancafe or follow Twitter closely would have noticed a series of discussions surrounding NU’EST’s treatment and well-being from both their Korean and Japanese management, Pledis and Sony Ariola, hoping for a feedback regarding the many pointers. 

A petition has started surrounding the topic two weeks ago, raising brief points such as the official fancafe’s lack of consistent schedule updates, and lack of full amenities provided in Japan. The digital petition has since garnered over 250 signatures, and sparked a series of comments within the Fancafe itself.

Earlier today, a compilation post surfaced on the Fancafe listed various pointers along with photos and various official notices, raising concerns over the companies’ management. Some of the issues raised included the lack of proper announcements and confirmation of their schedules, excessive overseas activities compared to Korean promotions (including the overlap of Japanese and Korean promotions, resulting in a shorter promotion period of 1st full-length album Re:BIRTH), and fanservice selfie events that allowed excessive skinship.

*Please note that these articles have been surfacing due to the lack of update from Pledis thus far (15 days since it first broke out), and the fans only seek for better treatment of the boys in their future endeavors. NU’EST Newsletter merely wishes to inform international fans about this as this debate has been going on since the beginning of May.

NU'EST made their way to Busan and Daegu for two sessions of fansigns last weekend, and filmed their little journey of meeting the fans and eating in their latest video. 'Mukbang', known as 'eating broadcast' in English, is a highly popular broadcast trend featuring male and female Broadcast Jockeys (BJ) as they eat on screen and chatting with their audience online.

Tempting us with their eating broadcasts, ranging from street snacks, pastries to a finale BBQ, NU’EST showed off their close-knitted bromance, and didn't forget to throw in some puns, all the while interjecting their eating journey with snippets of what went on at the fansigns.

The Cheongdo rest station is a little hard to map out and reach unless you have a car, but it's along the 'Daegu-Busan expressway' for those who wouldn't mind stopping by en route to your destination.

After making their way to Busan, the boys visited OPS Bakery; more specifically, the OPS Camellia Haute Branch.

Seems like there’s one new way to read about the boys’ activities in Japan, as NU’EST has now opened its official blog on Ameba, a popular Japanese social-networking and blogging site. 

The boys have also been writing their own entries, perhaps as a way of learning their Japanese as well? So far, there has been at least one entry per day, and with more activities to come, hopefully we’d get to see more of the members’ updates as well.

Thus far, we have Minhyun sharing about his Unagi Pie, Ren spotted doing a blood pressure test, Baekho wondering aloud why 2Hyun are sharing a single seat in a room full of chairs, and most recently, Ren preparing for tomorrow’s red carpet.

NU'EST Cheers On High School Students For Upcoming Graduation Examinations

Tomorrow (13 Nov) marks the start of Korea's national graduation examinations (SATs) and for all third-year high school students, this is their last hurdle before graduation. 

Customary, lower-grade students and celebrities share their fighting cheer to students set to take the examinations every year; earlier today, NU'EST left a hand-written message to cheer on third-year high schoolers and wish them all the best.

Not only that, the staffer shared a fighting pose from the boys, seen with their fists punched in the air, and in the second, Baekho showed off his 'sexy back' as an extra service.

Hopefully the graduating L.O.ㅅ.Es will feel the fighting spirit for the upcoming exams - all the best!

With the Chuseok holidays starting today, NU'EST made a simple Chuseok greetings to L.O.ㅅ.Es and shared news of an encore fansign.

As mentioned before, Chuseok is a major harvest festival in Korea, where families gather to pay respects to their ancestors before feasting on traditional Korean dishes made with freshly harvested ingredients. 

In the video, they sent their well-wishes and asks fans to spend a lovely celebration with their families. Minhyun added that it's been a while since they last gathered with their families as well. Last but not least, they announced once again that they will be having an encore fansign on 14 Sep - the last one for Re:BIRTH album - so don't miss out if you're in the country!
