Next time band merch seems over priced, read this! This is especially for artists that sell merch themselves.

We are doing a special release, and like many other artists living in Music 4.0 we sell a lot of our own merchandise and use smaller focus and test groups sometimes to see what the initial feed back is. We have truly found out what the fan Hell from is.

As you read this, we can only hope this saves someone the terror and anguish we suffered.

So, selling items as usual: locals, fans, friends, and regulars. This is a focused group, or at least that was the idea, turns out the focus was high level fraud that nearly took us out.

A friend of a fan purchases a shirt and DVD, this is crux of a being a musician, business as usual. Here's the twist. After giving a poor-me story immediately after buying, this sonuvabitch wanted a refund. Seemed like a good dude, no problem!

Well, among many other missed red flags, this person we will call David so this makes sense and is real to you, wanted a refund after paying. We were short on petty funds and David convinced our guy running the table that a check would be preferable plus he didn't want to short us the cash on hand, especially on the weekend... blah blah blah blah fuckin' blah...

Our guy asked us to cut a check, it was for a fan... a really "cool fan" that made the wrong purchase. This person used the check numbers and the rest of the information he had been gathering and took us for nearly $6K. Yup, six thousand... that is the single most expensive DVD we have ever bought back from a .... (fill in the blank).

Lesson learned: never give out any personal or financial information, no matter how petty it may seem. Music is an art, but so is the art of deception.

The Warpath? ...Huh? This Saturday we are going to be doing a whole new set of covers and bring out the big guns to do something special before the OK Happiness tour.

We are going to be inviting Nail Gun Chicken on stage and doing one of the all inclusive super band Psychosis Trances with them. Nail Gun Chicken tends to be a bit reclusive in there presence, but when they come on stage it is something special and unforgettable. We are doing a lot of special things for these last closet sessions, Nail Gun Chicken is definitely worth the wait. We will be announcing a future tour with them called, "The Warpath."
