Munday Questions ; 😎 , 😏 , 🌟 , 🎨 ( your art is good from what i've seen an i am curious )
Why did you choose your mun name? Does it mean something to you?
It's my name. To be fair, it's the shortened version of my name. I was too lazy to come up with a mun name and I feel it's kinda too late to change that. If I did, I still wouldn't know what to call myself.
What's something you want people to know about you?
I'm just a chill guy. But really, I've been writing for 20+ years, a good portion of it being on this platform. As cheesy as it sounds, I'm just here to have fun, put Circe in various situations, and make friends along the way.
What was the first fandom you remember Rping for?
Wolf's Rain. I used to write as Blue on some kind of fandom board.
Are you an artist? If so, would you be comfortable sharing some of your work?
Back in the day, yeah. I used to paint and draw when I had the time, but I haven't done so for a hot minute (aka over ten years). I do have some things saved from when I did, mind you, they're from 2013. But you can see Circe in her SOU gear uwu

Any kind of puzzle that requires backtracking. He can do riddles, he can do the math puzzles, he can do the sliding puzzles. Anything that requires something from different locations brought into one place? He hates that. He hates having to run up and down stairs to get key items to open up one door.
🧶Would they participate in a TikTok challenge concerning the infected?
He's not doing TikToks at all, much less any kind of challenge with getting up close and personal with infected.
🎯Main ambition in the RE world?
Honestly, Hawk is at the point where he's convinced he's going to work until he dies or is killed. He's been doing the mercenary pilot thing for so long, and it's specifically a job in high demand (given the RE world's track record with pilots that actually survive) that he's not going to be able to retire. He doesn't want to, either.
💀Most impactful death?
The most impactful death was the death of his father from a treatable lung cancer. The loss of his family's primary earner while he was getting his degree forced him to take on an expensive loan to finish his schooling and he fell for military recruitment to try to pay for the debts incurred by school, and a little morbidly, to at least get his family something if he died. It led to a mental break and maneuver that caught Umbrella's attention, and being conscripted into their private military.
skull. what memories/thoughts do they guard the most from others ?
Dee Ay's early life and career are shrouded in mystery, and he intends for it to remain that way. No one but him knows the entire extent of it and the finer details, and he personally would prefer to forget it. He is a child soldier, and to be relentlessly pitied, but at the same time, his record of crimes is...well, a lot of things had to be unlearned.
cheekbone. what makes them smile ?
If you give Dee Ay a compliment that does not revolve around his military proficiency, he genuinely lights up and gives you a diamond flasher. You would be surprised how big his smile gets. Tell him he's funny, say how good he is at xyz, or call him pretty and he's just the biggest goober about it.
sternum. what makes their heart pound hardest ?
It takes a lot to get Dee Ay's heart rate up considering how experienced he is on the battlefield. When Raccoon City is just another job for you, you know you don't scare easily.
Hands closing around his throat will do it pretty handily. Dee Ay endured many beatings at the hands of the men who essentially kidnapped and pressganged him as a child, and those he was able to heal from, but nothing made him understand his small frail body and his own vulnerability quite like a grown man's hand around his windpipe. It's a particular agitation of his in combat - any enemy that's been able to get that close to him has earned his true fear.
Random Character Development Questions ; 067 , 074 , 089 // josefina
067. Does your character believe in fate or destiny?
Definitely not. Josefina didn't grow up in the world of wealth in the same way her husband did; she had to marry into it, and to do that, she had to catch his attention. She did a lot of this by social climbing, using people to her advantage, and becoming the best she could possibly be in her field. Anything that's happened to her, whether that be misfortune or success, is something Josefina views as a direct result of her own actions.
074. What is your character's favorite game?
Manipulating those around her to her advantage and turning her vulnerability into performance? /j. In all seriousness, I think she'd really like Clue. Josefina would have a good time trying to figure out who the killer is, especially since she takes any chance she gets to disprove the idea that she's this unintelligent street girl. She also gets super competitive in whatever game she plays, and I know she'd have a great time trying to one-up anyone she was playing against.
089. How vocally expressive is your character?
This really depends on who Josefina's around! With her husband, Apolo, she tends not to say much unless it's prepared or something they agree on. A big part of their relationship is this idea of putting on a unified front; neither of them want to step out of line or contradict each other, especially when it comes to them being the faces of Blue Umbrella. The upper class people in his circle get even angrier with her when she doesn't dignify their critiques or insults with a response, so she's learned that ignorance is the best response. With Alejandro, Josefina tends to let herself become more vicious and verbal -- she refuses to take his criticisms lying down, and since they know each other so well, it makes their fights all the more brutal. Josefina very much 'saves' her ugliness for him, which is a concept I'm OBSESSED with, but that's a yap for later.

100 Random Character Development Questions
059. List several phrases your character is fond of uttering. Where did they pick them up?
I could be funny here and list several of the things he can say in-game that are identical between play units. But here's a few Dee Ay-certified bangers:
"Fuck me sideways" - has impact, is technically an invitation but doesn't sound like one, communicates an extreme situation
"Move your ass" / "Haul ass" - similarly impactful, communicates how quickly something must be expedited.
"Get a grip" - very effective shorthand to say 'lock in' and usually actually works. When that gets said, somebody gotta scramble and shape up.
"Shape up or ship out" - very common to hear from higher-ups, essentially meaning 'start behaving or you might actually have to do your job'.
"Not taking questions at this time" - one of the only ones he didn't pick up directly from his military experience. He learned this from watching celebrities and politicians on the news, found it funny, and slowly started to use it himself.
068. How strong is your character’s sense of responsibility? What kinds of things trigger it?
Overwhelmingly, achingly strong. Dee Ay feels immediate responsibility towards anyone in his vicinity, especially if they're weaker or more vulnerable than he is. He also has a completion attitude and wants any job he's tasked with done to its most respectable standard. He's very self-punishing in the same ways Chris and Leon are.
074. What is your character’s favorite game?
He's a gambler at heart and loves anything to do with dice, but for more traditional board-game style answers...would it surprise you if I said "Sorry"?
You know how Monopoly is seen as this evil family-destroying punishment of a game that always takes too long and leaves everyone upset? Sorry is kind of the opposite of that. Produces funny teasing and ragebaiting at the very worst, is almost always over with quickly, and encourages a couple different strategies. That and UNO - you know, the card games we all played in the 90s.
079. How easy is it for them to read the emotions of others?
Changing my mind about an earlier posted headcanon because it didn't make sense: Dee Ay is very good at reading people. He's highly empathetic, and has a strong intuition about the motives and emotions of other people.
I believe based on his teammates' specialties and personalities that he's good at picking out the good qualities or even the bad qualities in other people and helping them apply them in constructive ways; Party Girl's penchant for finding blackmail targets made her fit for surveillance work, Lawrence's proficiencies with viruses made him a great on-the-go scientist, and Harley especially would never have been recognized for medical skills if someone wasn't actively looking for them. That's just how he applies it in a practical sense; it's the same in the social sense, though.
Dee Ay is also looked to as a respected leader and maybe even a near father-like or big brother-like figure to those he leads, much similar to characters like Chris or Piers. I believe he earns that based on how well he reads and reacts to other people.
095. Name three things most would not expect your character to be able to do.
Multiple languages. Dee Ay actively hides this skill of his and hides just how fluent he is in multiple unrelated languages. Cantonese and Vietnamese are among his less-used ones, but he's also got Portuguese and Spanish as well as Latin under his belt. There are other languages he knows or is at least conversational in, but he's not officially speaking anything but English. He has his reasons, most of them related to eavesdropping and data-gathering.
Starwatching. Discussed this in an earlier headcanon, but his time with maritime and naval forces and the schooling he picked up there included celestial navigation as part of the course, and ever since then, Dee Ay has tried to keep a lingering eye on the stars. He can identify different stars and constellations based on where he is and what season it is, and point them out on the fly.
He can play the harmonica. He never learned the name of the guy who taught him (he died the same day), but he's kept the skill ever since. - Fun fact: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time released while he was still working in the military, and he ends up learning how to play an ocarina for one of his fellow soldiers' kids, who is thrilled.

100 Random Character Development Questions
006. What sense do they most rely on?
Sight, obviously, since as an un-infected human individual, that's what his body is built for. But the next most-often-used sense might surprise you: smell.
Smell has been a huge part of Dee Ay's survival kit, and being able to identify the scents of corpses, munitions, chemicals, certain plants, etc. has been vital to him not ending up among the deceased. And that serves him well since scent is something a person will likely perceive and, if they're smart, connect to a situation long before being able to personally lay eyes on whatever it's related to.
As the member of his team whose role is Assault, Dee Ay makes the best use of this sense while being tasked with charging in ahead of others.
018. Your character wakes up to find that war has been declared. What do they do?
Depends on how it's declared. A president or other authority figure announcing a "limited operation" in a target area? One more day at the office.
Announcing actual, full-scale war? Like, legally and everything? Fuck it, he's getting drunk and fucking his way through a football team or something. Fuck You I Quit Mode. May as well, that's a sign it's all about to go up in flames anyway.
026. What do they consider ugly in others personality-wise?
Anger.
There are two things Dee Ay has found creates the worst monsters in soldiers, and they impact his interpersonal relationships outside the barracks as well: anger, and apathy. Apathy is less common, but still dangerous; the inability to see any seriousness in any situation often carries vast consequences. Worse still are the soldiers that believe too much in their cause, are easily enticed to wrath or easily propagandized or both, and who take out staggering levels of emotions on those around them.
Righteous anger, of course, differs from burning hate. He can recognize the differences between the two, but a tendency towards vastly disproportionate response very quickly turns him off.
028. What makes them laugh out loud?
The stupidest jokes you've ever heard, mostly. And the dirtiest, and the darkest. Keeping a cool head in battle situations means Dee Ay has heard some absolutely crazy bangers from teammates that were so inclined and he will, actually, laugh at them.
Something Dee Ay will find relentlessly funny is if someone has a stupid tattoo and doesn't know what it actually says, or gets completely blindsided by some remark or event. "I also choose this guy's dead wife" would make him collapse into howling laughter and so would "she kinda bad tho, is it Frost?".
Leso helped treat Cass for the first time during her 'dead' era when she was going under the alias Andromeda Anderson. She ended up spraining her ankle after tripping while carrying in groceries to her apartment, so she asked her merc friends to get someone who could help her on the down low, ahaha. That person was Leso.
Cass gets anxious about medical visits because of her chronic illness + past infection. Leso's been able to help talk her down when she's especially anxious going into a big procedure.
On a related note, Leso will make a point to talk to Cass the entire time she's being treated. She'll usually walk through what she's doing step by step for Cass' sake, which makes everything feel far less intimidating.
Cass has offered to try and get Leso cleared to work at the BSAA in spite of her insectoid nature. Leso hasn't taken her up on this yet, but it is something being considered. Leso also helped Cass deal with Nathalie Reyes (an OC I write over @cupsraised) during the events of RE7, for Cass wasn't able to directly involve herself in that conflict.
