Breaking and entering was illegal kids. In all fairness though, Roma had a good reason. A really good reason. She was bored. She thought about it as she climbed the fire escape. Taking care of Souta had been taking up almost all of her time in this city. It was hard being a new mom, especially a single one.
However, despite Souta just being a boring lump of depression most of the time, sometimes he regained a little bit of functionality and wandered off. Apparently he thought he was quite clever too hiding his trail. Souta was much smarter and more cunning than her, she would admit to that in a moment, however she had him beat in one aspect. She had been playing this game far longer than he had, and she never played with her own sense of fatalism inhibiting her like Souta did.
Which is why she had followed him enough to determine where he was always going to. A small dwelling that was easy enough for Roma to break into, she did not even have to break anything for once. When she made it inside she saw a boy with familiar black and white hair curled up on the couch like a sleeping child.
Ah.
The other Kaneki.
The smelly one.
The one she hated.
"What are you doing sleeping with the window open, don’t you know that’s how burglars break in?” Roma warned his sleeping self, after breaking into his house.
