Made whole again
The ones who I have missed Are those who are individualist The ones who took their hearts off the shelves And remained true to themselves Who would always refuse To lose To the societal norm And just conform The ones with a heart of glass That breaks when others pass Those that remain optimistic When the whole world turns materialistic Those are the ones who run To the madman with a gun Prepared to take a bullet Strait down the gullet They are the ones who are sure That they have something to fight for As they run they scream As they are swimming upstream The current of the rest of humanity And away from the sea of vanity Those that yearn To burn And go out in a blaze of glory No matter how gory And ignite the night Bringing bright And truly in tune With the cycles of the moon Those who are romantic Who'd cross the Atlantic In a rowboat That's not even afloat At the start Because their heart Does not belong And truly does long For those willing to accept The simple concept Of acceptance in full The darkest of their soul To the brightest smile Of love through any trial With physical denial of pleasure Searching for more valuable treasure From deep in the depths within And maybe then They will be made whole again
