Tiruppur Kumaran laid down his life at the young age of 27 to fight for India's freedom. He is fondly remembered in Tamil Nadu as "Kodi Kaatha Kumaran" which means “The Kumaran who guarded the honor of our National Flag.”

నారింజ రంగు యూనిఫామ్లలో విద్యార్థులు వరుసగా నడుస్తూ, చేతుల్లో జాతీయ జెండాలు, దేశభక్తి సందేశాలతో ముందుకు సాగారు. ఉపాధ్యాయులు కూడా విద్యార్థులతో కలిసి ర్యాలీలో పాల్గొన్నారు.
స్వాతంత్ర్య దినోత్సవాన్ని ఒక కార్యక్రమంగా మాత్రమే కాకుండా, పిల్లల్లో దేశం పట్ల బాధ్యతను పెంచే అవకాశంగా మార్చిన ఈ ప్రయత్నం అభినందనీయం.
