To be honest I am a little mad that the -"bad writing leading to Izzy's death makes it seem like Izzy's death was the end goal in itself without a greater narrative role that aligns coherently with the rest of the series, and it is worth asking why his death was considered independently inevitable and what factor come into play in such a decision" -as an discussion got reduced to a Izzy's death is "problematic" Vs "not problematic" Because "lable"/" Notlable" strawman being kick around the fandom. (And yeah I can admit people on both sides are guilty of this)
Because now everyone is so tangled in the morality of this and forgot holes ridden writing involved.
