I’ve lost about 200lbs and I had a lot of loose skin in my belly area. I’ve always had an apron belly, so the skin became problematic after losing weight. I learned that for my health, having the skin removed was a medical necessity. So I had a Panniculectomy 02/26/2026. My surgeon was great, and I’m healing really well. Looking at my body post op has been a surreal journey. I’m struggling recognizing myself in the mirror because I’ve physically changed a lot these last couple of years. I’m very happy with my results so far and I’m excited to experience my new life. So far what’s different is how my clothes fit and how my body moves. There’s a lot less jiggle in the belly and a lot more noticeable jiggle in my thighs when I walk- which is not a bad thing. Sadly the reason I lost all of this weight (to have children) has been unsuccessful…. Which is a whole other struggle… so I’m just trying to enjoy my life as much as I possibly can.
