Peering at the pool area, she was hoping that no one would be there. Although Rui was naturally afraid of waters, if only because of a certain incident, she wanted to at least try and take a dip -- just to be sure, just to regain her confidence and ability to face her fears.
It didn’t help that she was so easily convinced into doing things she would normally avoid, should she be of rational mind.
Unfortunately, Rui wasn’t exactly a person with a mind of her own.
Noticing that there was hardly any sound to accompany or return her greeting, Rui felt relief in the lack of presence. If she were to show much fear, she would rather not show others.
Again, there were reasons as to why she couldn’t do this in her own bathroom.
Slowly, she let her toes, touch the waters overflowing by the sides of the pool, before lowering herself, and letting the cold waters envelope her calves while she sat at the side. Her anxiety was present, but a pool of water... could hardly be bad for her, no?
She was doing fine so far!
