I was hoping to have this drawing done for today but I ran out of time so I'll just share the WIP for now.

@inception30daychallenge day 10: A headcanon about your favourite character.

So in the movie it's implied that Eames is also an irl document forger albeit not a very good one (i.e. "I see your spelling hasn't improved"). In the fandom it's common for Eames to be portrayed as an art forger as well which I really really love as I'm fascinated by art forgery.

My headcanon, however, is a little different. I think Eames is not an art forger but an artist. He paints originals. Maybe he started off wanting to be an art forger but decided it was too much work given everything else he already does but he already had the paint so he decided to continue with his own work.

At first he's terrible and it's mainly something he plays at. Something to help him decompress during his down time. But over the years he naturally improves. Portraits are his specialty but occasionally he'll paint a dreamy landscape. A few of his paintings get sold at local galleries. It's not something he talks about. Most people he works with have no idea about it at all. He keeps it close to his chest. It's not much but Eames really loves it.
