Update: Regarding COVID-19
Hello lovelies~! It’s hard to believe that it is already midway through April. With the rise of the coronavirus, us Mods sincerely hope all of you, your families, and friends have been staying healthy during such a difficult period. The effects of the coronavirus have been unprecedented. In addition to those who have unfortunately fallen ill, the closure of nonessential businesses and stay at home orders have drastically changed everyone’s lives.
Four weeks ago, us Mods decided to suspend activity checks to support our members facing significant life changes as a result of this pandemic, with the promise of reassessing the situation in mid-April. Unfortunately, the coronavirus is still on the rise. Many are adjusting to online schooling, remote work, taking care of ill family members, and/or navigating the loss of their jobs. As a result of such financial and mental stressors, the Mods have opted to extend the suspension of activity checks until May 15th.
Just as last time, you are allowed--and encouraged--to write, but we don’t want to add worrying about deadlines to whatever else you may be facing in your life as a result of this pandemic. Your Mods will still be around to answer questions, process applications/drops, and otherwise run the group as normal, but there will be no need to take hiatuses as we will not be checking or penalizing activity.
Please, take the time to prioritize yourself during this difficult time. Though we may only be connected through the internet, we are in this together! If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us!
