There were moments she tried to untie the rest of the ropes holding her soul back. They were no longer shackles but perhaps that was more frustrating to her. Shackles required a key, ropes could be done away with if the desire was there. But she was afraid. Afraid that too much slack in the rope would hang her. She had heard enough about him to know Jack Sparrow was a map without edges; free to draw the lines of the world how he wanted them and she wanted to be that.
