"Hail Hydra" Skye murmured to Ward in the quaint cafe, the smell of roasting coffee beans in her nostrils as a triumphant smile graced her lips. "So, Skye has betrayed us too huh?" Trip asked her as she tried to keep the tears that pricked at her eyelids at bay. Jemma's mobile slipped from her fingers onto the table top as she processed the words that she had heard from the hacktivist she had come to admire and love.

"She wouldn't do that, it has to be some kind of mistake. We didn't hear the whole conversation after all, so I don't see why we should jump to conclusions." Jemma told the man sternly, doubt already clouding her heart like a shadow. Skye wouldn't betray the team...wouldn't betray HER... would she?

"Simmons, until the team is back together and have proved their allegiance to S.H.I.E.L.D, we have to assume the worst." He tried to argue as Jemma straightened her jacket and held her head up high. She refused to think that Skye would betray Coulson or the team.Ā Or me... herĀ treacherousĀ heart whispered.

"Come on, Trip, we have work to do"
