Z-team x dispatch gn (implied masc reader because of Flambae)

You’ve been having a difficult week and one day a coworker says something that pushes you over the edge…. (This is set durning the cut episode)

Warnings: only you used, implied masc reader but still gn, cussing, tension, annoying racist and bigoted coworker called Branden (sorry if your name is Branden), mainly about telling someone off that needs to be told off

Blue - Robert

Pink - Prism

Green - Punch Up

Red - Branden (annoying coworker)

This week was too long. And you hated it. The Z-team has been struggling on their missions which put not only stressed Robert out but it stress you out too. Blonde Blazer told everyone that there is supposed to be a cut at the end of the week, and well….its the end of the week. Tension is high and the Z-team is on their last shift. They aren’t sabotaging each other like they did last shift but still, everyone is on edge.

Despite the stress, you were toughing out the last couple hours. Zoned out eating a twink and listening to music got you through it, till the last hour. The team got back and a cut still had to be made. There were a few other dispatch’s left, unfortunately this included the coworker Branden. He always got on your nerves, he never understood when to shut up. He always said things that he was clearly uneducated about. To put it simply, he was bigoted and racist and had no intention of changing his behavior. And of course, without fail, he says something stupid.

He would talk about you in rude manners, but you were always able to block it out. But today he was talking about the Z-team, and you just weren’t in the mood.

(He says some racist remarks to Flambae and Prism, then he says something bigoted to Malevola, Invisagal, and Coop)

This was the last straw for you. “Branden….shut the fuck up.”

The room goes quiet as everyone looks at you. “Excuse me?” Brandon stares in disbelief. He looks around for support but finds none.

“You heard me. Shut your fucking mouth because everyone’s tired of hearing your uneducated bullshit.”

He try’s to say something but everyone is clearly in your side. He finally gets the hint, due to embarrassment of finally being called out, to leave. You go back to quietly finishing your closing work.

Everyone is shocked, they’ve heard you cuss before but never with any actual malicious. But they were also touched because you were standing up for them. It made them blush, even Flambae was flustered. (It was easy to tell because he was red and smoking) “Wow…” Robert’s deep voice finally breaks the silent tension. You hold your tongue trying not to snap back.

“Everyone knows he needed it”

“He needed more than that - A good punch woulda helped!”

For a little while everyone forgets about the cut . Everyone just finds happiness in Branden finally getting called out. Everyone was joking, laughing, and bonding. The Z-team expressed their worry for your snap but also they encouraged you standing up.
