2014 Resolutions....no, goals.
I have a love/hate relationship with the new year. Â It seems as though we come out of the gate, ready for everything, and then it all falls apart the next day/week/month...well, you get the picture. Â
Anywho, I have gained some new perspective over the past year since I had Prudence, and it has given me a renewed sense of desire for resolutions, nay, goal setting for the 2014 year. Â In fact, I have 3 areas I am going to focus on, and each has 3 goals set for them...
Professional:
Blogging: I will maintain the blog the way it was originally intended to be maintained: 5 posts/week, inspirational and interiors/events/design driven, with a touch of personal flair.
Store: Work to have consistent hours, hire an employee by the summer, and increase sales by 50%.
Design: Increase interior clients, and kick off our event design practice by June 1st. Â
Personal:
Work out: 4 times a week. Â Currently I go to Pilates twice a week, but I want to add two yoga classes, and daily walk to that schedule.
Eat: Start a vegetable garden. Â This is important as it would give me a sense of what I was eating, and eventually lead to a greater command over what I eat.
Time: Since Prudence arrived, I haven't taken much time to myself. Â I am going to set aside 1 hour a day, whether its early in the am, or late in the pm, for Emma time...it could be filled with a work out, coffee, reading, or Real Housewives...but it will be for me.
Family:
Time: Spend quality time with my husband and daughter.
Read: Every night to Prudence.
Eat: Eat dinner as a family twice a week at the table...we are working up to 5 times a week, but since our schedules are all over the place, we have to start somewhere!
What are you resolving to do this year?
