Jaxson was very specific about his pasta shapes: he only ate bowties. And Anastasia was tired of fighting with him about it, so now she went out of her way only to buy farfalle. The problem, and of course there had to be a problem, was that there was only one box of that shape left, and just as Anastasia reached for it, another hand reached out too.

Anastasia tugged the box closer to her, forcing a smile. “Oops!” she said in a sugary tone, glancing at the other person. Oh. He was quite cute.

But one way or another, Anastasia needed this box. “This is quite awkward, but do you mind?” she added, batting her eyelashes. Hopefully that worked. Men could be quite simple.

"Oh, Big Bro! Hi!" he started, before remembering there was another person to welcome as well. Blushing a bit in embarrassment from his little outburst, he turns to the other and waves. "Hello to you as well!"
