For once, an iOS synth app has been developed that doesn’t require any greasy finger mashing on the iPad/iPad/iPhone touch screen.  Drum synthesizers are a dime a dozen on the iOS scene, but Beep Street Impaktor is innovative app in the sense that it doesn’t require you to actually touch the screen to activate sounds. Instead, the built in microphone picks up external vibrations, like tapping my fingers on the desk next to the device, to trigger audio.  In short, it lets you use any surface as your pad surface.  Your taps can manipulate a variety of instruments from drum sets, to percussive keyboards.
