There were other members of Team Flash that could figure out whether or not Barry had become something dark, but they had come to the conclusion that they were all too close to him; they could be too easily manipulated, but not Hartley. They had told him to be prepared, and he had his gauntlets on his person, but he couldn't imagine Barry being anything worthy of fear.
