Immersivism is an art movement which expresses ideas about virtual spaces.
I currently have a photo taken in Sansar displayed in the Museum of Immersivism in Second Life. If you'd like to check out the museum, you can find it here!
I took this photo in Sansar a few years ago. No edits, no setup, just raw exploration. There are lots of places like this in Sansar, amongst other platforms. I used to float around and see what I could find, which led me to some weird corners of the internet.
The thing that struck me about this place was its sheer volume. It felt like I had stepped into an ancient ruin or lost temple, and I needed to tread carefully to understand the intent behind it. Pillars are perfectly aligned in a large grid. The beams of light break up the repetition while creating stark shadows on the ground. It feels very.. surreal.
I wonder how many places like this have been lost to time across the many platforms I've seen..
