Rowville Community Centre for #immerseart @knoxcouncil for Immerse Art Festival 2016. Title- “Cooee” (Come Here, You’re Found). Artist: KIL Productions @kilproductions ft an extract of the Artist Statement. - WHAT IS REASON FOR MAKING THIS WORK? WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? I’m motivated to unite people. We live in a society where everything is classified, divided or allocated. People are people. We are what we choose to be. What we learn, our attitudes to others and living should be a judgement of our actions, not our words. This is why I paint. I want people to remember my message, my art as honest and from the heart. WHAT STORY DOES THE ARTWORK TELL? “Cooee” is a rendered artwork depicting many of Knox’s own citizens. These people come from all over the world and make up just some the cultural diversity of the Knox community. “Cooee”, a snapshot of Knox multi culturalism constructed from its one hundred and thirty nations. A modern digitalised artwork, structured from a simple pallet, balanced with an emphasis on equality through individual diversity over colour. “Cooee” embraces the call to come together in unity, friendship, wellbeing and the Australian spirit. This is a people’s project, created by the people, with the people and for the people. Who is Knox? We are community, a new tribe, together, from everywhere. “We are not defined by colour or race, we are defined by our spirit, our willingness to thrive as equals on common ground and grow as one” – @kilproductions #cooee #knox #immerseart #immerse2016 #montanacans_au #rowville #rowvillecommunitycentre #aerosolart #melburn #2016 #graffiti #streetart #interiordesign #commercialart #lobby #art #artist #foyer
