Answer: Imilce was prooooobably real. She's Hannibal's wife, an Iberian princess according to most accounts (it makes sense, considering they needed the allegiance of the neighbouring Iberian tribes and Hannibal grew up in Spain from the age of 9), but she might have been from Carthage. We basically don't know anything about her beyond that. She might have had a son (named Hamilcar or Hanno) with Hannibal, but we don't know if he existed because it comes from later sources, who might've Made Stuff Up, as Roman authors and writers do. If he did exist, he probably died young :(. Basically, we know that Hannibal had a wife named Imilce. She stayed in Spain or went back to Carthage when Hannibal went over the Alps. We don't know what happened to her, nor anything else about her, really. It's sad. (At least we know her name, unlike Hannibal's mother and 3 Mysteriously Unnamed Sisters.)
