“WHY WONT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT IT’S FOR YOUR BEST?!” “MY BEST?? WHERE’S THE GOOD THING IN LEAVING ME AGAIN AFTERALL WE’VE BEEN THROUGH?! YOU’RE OUT OF YOUR MIND IMGAR! WE WANTED TO GO TO THAT KINGDOM TOGETHER; REMEMBER?”
“Tch....” His gaze went to her necklace, then to the side before he had the strenght to look at Taras’ face again. “You don’t need me anymore, you have your new friends by your side. Just let me go and--” “IMGAR!!!” Her sharp cry in tears cut through the air. After this she only had the energy for a painful whisper left. “Why are you suddenly talking like this?..do you not want to continue our journey?...Y-You’re my best friend...I can’t...no....I wont do this without you...please......is this really how you want to end this?....”
Imgar grit his teeth. He had to gather all his strenght not to tell her the words his heart screamed in pain.
He didn’t want to leave her side ever again. But with his condition, how could he be allowed to? The place by her side was not his after all, it would never be.
Another deep inhale, as he slowly started to speak - but his voice cracked and with tears streaming down his face the feraligatr rushed forwards - pulling Tara into his arms. “I....don’t want to leave you.....but if I can’t controll this....I will hurt you again....please....understand.....Tara.....”
This was when a strange heat formed in between them. It grew so hot that Imgar had to let go of the Umbreon - revealing a glowing Orb right in front of them. As the glow got less intense it took the form of a golden compass whose needle spun around at a high speed.
“I...completely forgot about this thing...” Tara remembered it appearing all of a sudden back then. It somehow vanished again after that - but now it was back?
This compass will point you in the direction of what your heart desires the most.
The voice echoed around them, yet noone was to be seen.
Your goal is close. Don’t give up just yet.
It floated into the air, the needle now pointing straight into the morning sun that showed up between some mountain peaks. Then it lost it’s physical form, soaring through the air like a leaf in the wind. As their eyes followed the light it slowly vanished into thin air.
Imgar went a few steps forward, rubbing his eyes. “That light just now....was showing us the way? But where to?”
His eyes searched the horizon, still burning from the hot tears that flooded them just moments ago. Then he saw a movement in the east, just where the needle had been pointing to. It seemed like a heat haze, an illusion of a...wide forrest? It definetly hadn’t been there before!
His hands began to shake. Could it be...?
Her soft voice made his hurt heart jump.
“That’s the place... I have this feeling...and you are feeling it too, right?”
He turned around to look at her small figure in the expanding light of the morning sun.
“Can I...come with you? ..I want to continue our journey..”
Tears formed in the corner of her eyes again.
“Of course. Let’s go to this place and finally make our wishes come true!”
