Oh yeah, I did a run thing yesterday. I returned to the Canal Connection 10K in Utica yesterday and had my sights set on a PR...it didn't happen. I have really been trying to adjust to my constantly changing schedule, but it doesn't seem to be going well. I didn't have to walk at all yesterday, but I did...three times. I thought I was going to take home some hardware, but I couldn't overcome the dark clouds in my mind to win the mental battle. I'm not happy with my recent performances. I can't figure out what exactly took me out of my element yesterday. Was it my wacky sleep schedule? Poor nutrition? My mental attitude? Maybe it was knowing that I wouldn't have someone waiting for me at the end...I remember last year I saw someone ahead of me running with good form, at a good pace and I decided to pace off of her...this year I just couldn't lock in on that one person...there was just a lot going on around me and in my head yesterday. #STRroadrunner in Utica #CanalConnection #SRRL #StarvedRockRunners #RunnersWorld #IMcanal
