Leadership in times of turmoil
Iβm extremely emotional here today, and have had a moment to reflect on those emotions.
It is shame.
I feel really ashamed that as a white middle aged woman βmy tribeβ has voted this way. How did this privileged group buy the story of βnot enough to go aroundβ, why did they focus on the βIβ not the βweβ.
As a leader I must ensure, I tell a narrative that connects people to a higher purpose, to stand tall when fear is fed to them, and to resist the pull of negative conversation.
That is how I can make a difference in such troubled times. That is how I can make a difference in times of turmoil.
